Free-hand 3D, anchored in space.
ARKit and RealityKit. Plane detection, multi-user shared sessions, generative AR experiences and immersive product showcases.
Arai Tech is a focused mobile engineering studio. We design and ship production-grade iOS, AR and AI applications: from first prototype, through App Store launch, into long-term care.
Most teams claim to do everything. We specialise, deeply, in the four areas that consistently produce the most ambitious mobile products being shipped today.
iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS and macOS: the entire Apple stack. Swift and SwiftUI as the default; UIKit and Cocoa where they earn their place.
Widgets, App Clips, Top-Shelf extensions, keyboard extensions, StoreKit and subscriptions. Built to feel right at home on each form factor, not adapted from a cross-platform compromise.
ARKit and RealityKit. Plane detection, multi-user shared sessions, generative AR experiences and immersive product showcases.
Multi-stage computer-vision pipelines, on-device models, and integrations with frontier APIs. Engineered for performance and battery life.
Flutter applications that look and feel native on both iOS and Android, without compromising performance.
From AR drawing engines to two-stage computer-vision pipelines and multi-platform consumer apps. A sample from the last few years.
AR · Generative
An augmented-reality experience that grows a unique, generative flower from each user's personality test, anchored in their real-world space. Built from scratch in Swift, UIKit and ARKit, alongside the Android team and a dedicated REST backend.

iOS · Hardware
An iOS companion app for a connected smart-shower device. NFC handshake for instant pairing, BLE telemetry, and live water-quality readouts, co-designed with the hardware team and shipped end-to-end on the Apple side.
Case study available →
AR · 3D Drawing
A free-hand 3D drawing tool. Sketch lines, extrude shapes and snap to detected planes, collaboratively, across devices, in mid-air. Established the architecture from zero, then extended it to multi-user shared sessions with synchronisation and undo.

tvOS · AI
A full streaming-style client for Apple TV with Top-Shelf integration and ChatGPT-powered recommendations based on the viewer's history. Owned the project from the design phase to MVP, built entirely in Swift and SwiftUI.
Case study available →
iOS · iPad · Watch
A full Apple-stack implementation across iPhone, iPad (landscape and portrait) and Apple Watch, built around a shared Swift core with three platform-native UIs that feel right at home on each form factor.

An AR exhibition placing student final projects on a Fibonacci-distributed 3D sphere: a virtual gallery that feels almost physical.
A daily-video montage app with a substantial existing user base. Modernised the codebase and integrated A/B testing, analytics, paywalls and feature flags.
Stabilised and extended a privacy-focused health app with a substantial install base. Solving long-standing issues other teams had marked as unfixable.
Long-running maintenance and improvement work on a beloved baby-album application: bug triage, SDK modernisation, gentle architectural cleanup.
A relaxing, beautifully illustrated coloring app shipped on iOS and Android from a single Flutter codebase. Featured in family categories.
An iOS utility for recording, organising and sharing phone calls with folder-based libraries and full-text search across transcripts.
A personal-finance companion with rich category breakdowns, trend charts and a subscription model designed around long-term retention.
A focused voice-memo app with high-quality audio capture, pause-resume support and a folder-based library that scales to thousands of clips.
A multiplayer Connect-4 with live voice chat, in-app messaging and on-the-fly upgrades, crafted for fast asynchronous matches.
A polished take on the classic party game with multiple modes, custom buddies and a spinning bottle interaction loved by reviewers.
A photo-driven social polls app with a comments thread, smart filters and a profile feed engineered to keep sessions short and frequent.
A modern SwiftUI experience built end-to-end (from interaction design through release engineering) for the latest generation of iPhone hardware.
A marketplace for the marine industry with rich listings, image galleries, geo-search and a custom messaging layer between buyers and brokers.
A crew-hiring platform with live availability, rich profiles and a messaging layer designed to move conversations from app to contract quickly.
A platform for placing narrative experiences in physical locations, transforming ordinary spaces into augmented-reality story canvases.
A two-stage YOLO inference pipeline running on-device for industrial quality control, multithreaded across CPU and GPU for 50 detections per second.
We had two prior teams tell us the codebase was beyond saving. Arai picked it up, made it sing inside a week, and added a whole new feature surface our users had been asking for since launch. They get mobile.
The AR work was honestly beyond what we thought possible on a phone. A multi-user 3D drawing engine from scratch. It felt like magic on day one.
Doubled our on-device inference rate, fixed memory leaks two contractors before them couldn't, and actually explained the changes. Rare.
We needed someone who could sit between hardware and software and make both make sense. They did exactly that. Shipped on time and the device just worked.
Most contractors disappear after launch. Arai stayed, fielded our late-night App-Store rejections, and helped us land a 4.8-star rating.
The tvOS prototype became our pitch deck. We closed our seed round on the back of a build they shipped in under six weeks.
We start with a free working session: codebase walkthrough, audit, or roadmap review. Most engagements begin here, before any contract is signed.
We propose the smallest architecture that supports the next two years of the product, not the next sprint. Decisions documented, trade-offs surfaced.
Tight build cycles. Public TestFlight builds inside a week. Analytics, A/B framework and remote feature flags wired in from day one.
Submission, App-Store review, post-launch hot-fixes, the messy first month. We don't disappear when the contract reaches its last sprint.
